The IdeaMelt API is a RESTful interface providing programmatic access to the functions, capabilities, and data provided by our service. The API is clean, predictable, and uses built-in HTTP features to receive commands and return responses. The API is easily accessible from any environment using any language - from command line utilities to the browser URL bar itself.

We strongly recommend using the secure HTTPS protocol instead of plain HTTP. However, both are fully supported.
To successfully authenticate, all requests must include an 'api_key' as a field in the request object. This is the IdeaMelt key shown in your Dashboard.
